The firm’s Founder & Principal, Heather Higgins, guides each client from initial design conception to project completion. What differentiates Higgins Design Studio from other firms is that Heather is a creative designer, but also has an extensive business and project management background. She is able to leverage many years of training in large architectural interiors firms to provide a system of checks and balances.

Our approach to design considers both the architectural and decorative elements of a space. Although we don’t specialize in a specific design “style” per se, our interiors are known for fresh, simple details with an emphasis on color and material.

Each project has a unique set of practical and personal considerations that form the design foundation. From the moment we meet each client we begin to identify these elements. There are very important practicalities like budget and schedule, but strong emphasis is also given to details about a client’s lifestyle, values and aspirations. We work with clients to refine this information and develop a clear vision of how their space should function and feel both privately and when entertaining friends, family and clients. Together, step by step, we transform this vision into a reality.
